Golf Course Management Services has been set up to assist Course Managers, freeing up time to focus on the quality of experience for golfers. Draw on professional expert support and assistance that meets your brief.

I am a dedicated and engaging golf course management professional with over 30 years’ in the industry. Now giving you the opportunity to draw on my experience, having worked on a diverse range of projects with highly talented people at the Hertfordshire golf clubs of Ashridge, Letchworth, West Herts, Harbour Town Golf Links (South Carolina, USA), and Wellow in Hampshire.

My experience working on Harbour Town has been a particularly valuable part of my career.

I have a passion for all aspects of golf course management particularly  bringing together people and multiple resources to provide great results.  Not necessarily implementing broad change, sometimes fine tuning current practices with a fresh pair of eyes can be invaluable.

At the end of 2020 I set up Golf Course Management Services, a friendly, flexible and cost-effective service designed to empower Course Managers freeing up time and hopefully easing some pressure. In 2023 Master Greenkeeper Chris Carpenter joined the team having recently retired with 40 years experience managing, Porters Park, Brookmans Park and most recently Verulum Golf Club. Chris' passion for golf courses is only surpassed by his desire to see teams make the most of them.

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Interim management support for courses that are in transition between different Course Managers.d

  • Course Development Planning. Through discussion and by combining experience it is possible to invigorate course plans and direction.

  • Installation of all aspects of course H&S documentation. Tailored to your course, get up to speed with minimal input.

  • Assisting with irrigation system set-up and calibration. Make the most of your old or new system optimising the efficient use of water supply.

  • Helping to review, plan and implement woodland management programmes having a long term relationship working with the National Trust.
